Objectives In our educational exhibit, we will present a review of the literature on the efficacy of various anatomic and functional imaging modalities for initial diagnosis, staging, response to treatment, and recurrence of neuroendocrine tumors. Based on the most up-to-date data on neuroendocrine tumor imaging, we will present a cost benefit analysis such that our viewers will: 1. Understand the relative costs of different imaging modalities used in the evaluation of neuroendocrine tumors (CT, MR, PET/CT, MIBG and Octreotide scans). 2. Know and compare the relative sensitivity and specificity of different imaging techniques and their advantages and limitations at each stage of the work up (diagnosis, staging, treatment response, and recurrence). 3. Identify the best imaging modality for a given clinical indication.
