Introduction: A variety of benign and malignant cutaneous and subcutaneous lesions are frequently encountered on F-18 FDG PET/CT scans, sometimes performed for other indications. In this exhibit, we try to represent these findings in the form of a pictorial atlas.
Methods: The goal of this exhibit is to familiarise the nuclear medicine physicians with the cutaneous lesions that may detected on F-18 FDG PET/CT scans and aiding in their diagnosis based on imaging features.
Results: Some of the neoplasms that will be reviewed include – Squamous cell carcinoma, Malignant melanoma, Cutaneous T cell lymphoma, Leukemia cutis, Kaposi sarcoma and Neurofibroma. Also, few of the Infectious/Inflammatory conditions that will be discussed include Abscess, Mycetoma, Leprosy, Pemphigus and Xanthoma disseminatum.
Conclusions: Herein, we present our experience of F-18 FDG PET/CT imaging in a variety of cutaneous and subcutaneous lesions in the form of a pictorial educational exhibit.
