Learning Objectives There has been increasing utilization of PET-CT in patient management due to the increased diagnostic accuracy that hardware fused PET-CT affords compared to CT or PET alone. Some of these studies uncover unexpected findings. We present several cases of uncommon congenital anomalies discovered incidentally on PET-CT. Correct identification of these congenital anomalies is important to avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary diagnostic studies and to alert the surgeon when the findings could alter the surgical approach.
Summary: Review of these cases will help the nuclear physician increase his level of diagnostic confidence when encountering unexpected congenital anomalies on PET-CT.
