Objectives: To reserch the degression of renal function of 99mTc-DTPA renal imaging in rabbits with AUUTO and its early recovery after relief.
Methods: 16 health rabbits models with left AUUTO were built up. 99mTc-DTPA renal scintigraphy was performed before making model and after AUUTO 1,3,5 or7wks respectively and 4wks after relief of obstruction.A small γ camera from BIN SONG matched with low-energy radiation hole collimator.A 5.55×107Bq of 99mTc-DTPA and frusemide 0.5mg/kg were injected,and a series of images(matrix 64×64) were gathered in 30 mins.
Results: Paired-Samples T Test showed that the value of GFR and Uptake in the AUUTO kidney were significantly lower than the control(p<0.01) after operation 1wk,and then dropping slowly.In rabbits with 1-3wks obstruction,the renal function could almost recovered within 4wks after relief of obstruction.With obstruction of 5-7wks,the renal function could recovered partly to some extent.But obstruction for 8wks or more,the renal function could not be recovered.
Conclusions: For the AUUTO,the renal function is most remarkable decreased in the early time,and can be restored after relief.For long time obstruction,even if relieved,the renal function are not easily to restore.The renal scintigraphy can reflect the extent of the renal damage and its recovery,and could be used as an reliable indicator of renal ectomy.
