RGD-PEG conjugation effectively modifies Ad vector tropism to improve systemic gene delivery. 18F-FHBG PET can monitor the transfectivity of both Adtk and RGD-PEG-Adtk vectors in vivo and appears appropriate for monitoring the efficacy of chemically modified HSV1-sr39tk/ganciclovir suicide gene therapy.
