Although less common, clinical trials have also demonstrated that AC can also significantly improve sensitivity, particularly for detection of left main34 and multiple vessel disease. This is important because of the concern of missing patients with coronary disease in multiple vascular territories that gives rise to the so-called balanced reduction of flow: this represents a confounding factor in misinterpreting studies exhibiting normal perfusion.
