Molecular therapy with derivatives of amino benzoic acid inhibits tumor growth and metastasis in murine models of bladder cancer through inhibition of TNFα/NFΚB and iNOS/NO pathways
2020, Biochemical PharmacologyCitation Excerpt :As previously described [26], DAB-1 was synthetized using para-amino benzoic acid as the starting material in a three-step reaction sequence. DAB-1 compound was labelled with iodine-131 radioisotope ([131I]) by the Iodogen method (Sigma Chemical Company, St Louis, USA) as previously described [30]. Briefly, a mixture of 50 MBq of 131INa (Comisión Nacional de Energía Átomica, Buenos Aires, Argentina) and 4 mg/mL of DAB-1 in 0.1 M phosphate buffer-pH 7.5 (Sigma Chemical Company, St. Louis, USA) was incubated for 15 min at room temperature in an Iodogen-coated tube (50 µg/tube) (Pierce Chemical, Dallas, USA).
