Augmentation of perfusion using nitrates has been shown to improve sensitivity and accuracy with Tc-99m sestamibi.14–16 Alternatively, augmentation of function using low-dose dobutamine during ECG-gated SPECT acquisition may improve sensitivity and accuracy as has been shown with echocardiography.17,18
