Methods Three diferent kinds of routine problems were selected: absolute quantification of renal images, internal dosimetry calculation of 90Y for Seletive Internal Radiation Therapy, 99Mo-99mTc generator yield calculation. The algorithms were developed and implemented on FileMaker GO for iOS systems. After the installation in smartphones, the apps were tested for failures and instabilities. They were evaluated with simulated data comparing to the standard solutions for the proposed problems. When possible patients data were also used for comparison. ResultsThe implementation of the apps made the clinical routine more practical and accessible for the physicians who evaluate the exams as well as the medical physics team of the Hospital. Creation and customization of the processes in applications aid in the implementation of practicality, accessibility and indicators for the nuclear medicine department. Conclusion Routine problems were presented and mobile solutions were developed, implemented and tested. This kind of tool can potentially improve daily tasks resolution once smartphones and tablets are in the pocket of almost all health users. However, when using patient data, local rules and test procedures must be done before going to the practice.
