All SPECT images were repeatedly reconstructed using iterative reconstruction algorithm with various parameters (Iteration[asterisk]subset: 40-100, Gaussian filter: approx. 5-15mm). Scatter-, attenuation- and depth-dependent resolution corrections were applied in all scanners. These images were converted to SUV unit using the calibration factor of each scanner calculated by a pool phantom with known activity concentrations. SUVmax, SUVpeak and SUVmean were measured in all hot spheres. Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) were calculated by comparison between SPECT images which were reconstructed by various reconstruction parameters and DRO which was filtered by Gaussian filter (FWHM=17mm) to reveal harmonized reconstruction parameters. Coefficient of Variation (COV) (%) among 4 scanners were calculated in both before (image quality priority condition) and after harmonization in every sphere diameter. Results: RMSE of SUVmean were decreased by adaption of appropriate reconstruction parameters in all scanners (Symbia T6: from 0.38 to 0.15, Brightview XCT: from 0.21 to 0.11, Discovery NM/CT 670: from 0.21 to 0.10 and Infinia: from 0.16 to 0.10). Maximum COV of SUVmean, SUVpeak, SUVmax was decreased by harmonization from 13.0 to 8.0, 15.2 to 8.8, 17.3 to 12.2, respectively. Conclusion: Our study demonstrated that variations of SUV among four commercial scanners were decreased by using both vender-neutral quantitative software and DRO. Harmonization of SUV may require especially for multicenter study or clinical trial in 99mTc-HMDP bone SPECT/CT scan. Research Support: ER -
