Sarcoidosis is a multisystem granulomatous disease of unknown etiology. Molecular imaging plays a significant role for assessment of various inflammatory diseases including sarcoidosis. MRI is the current modality of choice for detection of cardiac sarcoidosis and neurosarcoidosis but has some limitations that may be compensated with molecular imaging. This presentation provides an overview of the applications of PET/CT and PET/MRI for evaluation of patients with sarcoidosis by reviewing the following subjects: 1) The clinical utility of FDG-PET/CT in the management of cardiac sarcoidosis 2) The clinical utility of FDG-PET/CT in the management of pulmonary and nodal sarcoidosis 3) The clinical utility of FDG-PET/CT in the management of neurosarcoidosis 4) Potential applications of novel PET radiotracers for in the management patients with sarcoidosis 5) Potential applications of PET/MRI in the management of patients with sarcoidosisMethods -Results -Conclusions -
