AB 1390 Objectives To review our experience in bone scintigraphy using F-18 NaF PET. Methods We reviewed over 500 studies performed with F-18 NaF PET between the years 2004 and 2010. Results We present several examples of the utility of 18F NaF PET in the assessment of bone pain in children. The majority of cases were referred from the Sports Medicine Clinic with a presumptive diagnosis of stress fractures. Conclusions Our review indicates that 18F NaF PET can be used safely and effectively in the imaging of children and adolescents that are being evaluated for bone pain
