To provide a web based information resource for radiation health professionals, including physicians, medical physicists, and technologists. 2. To highlight topics of global interest and relevance, as well as available material and resources (including freely distributable IAEA material). 3. To foster communication, shared resources and expertise, and a global community among health professionals. As technology in radiation based medicine progresses, it is recognized that an important aspect in assuring quality healthcare is proper dissemination of technical information and learning material. The availability of quality resources is important for both young professionals, as well as continued professional development. One of the ways in which the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been addressing this issue, has been by setting up workgroups of expert professionals that have provided guidance and technical documents on selected topics of importance. However, health professionals are not always aware of the existence of these resources, or where to find them when they need them. In 2008 the IAEA with the aid of an international group of expert consultants began a new initiative to develop a Human Health website - humanhealth.iaea.org - to be launched in summer 2010, which will serve as a resource for radiation health professionals. The website is divided into five main sections; Nuclear Medicine, Radiopharmacy, Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics, and Nutrition. The website highlights quality resources, particularly freely available online or downloadable resources, and is organized by topics of interest. The combination of these categories in a shared web space also promotes the access of information and highlights the areas of crossover between the fields, for users coming from any specialty. User feedback is a part of this website, and the aims for its future development are to serve as an updated and comprehensive resource that addresses the needs and interests of users in IAEA Member States
