Being a functional imaging technique that detects tumour metabolism, it has shown to outperform conventional anatomical imaging modalities in certain scenarios. However, orbital pathologies may pose difficulties in scan interpretation not only due to the subtle nature of these lesions, but also physiologic extra-ocular muscle uptake.Methods: A review of patients with ophthalmological lesions who underwent F-18 FDG PET/CT was undertaken. Interesting cases with both classical as well as unusual imaging findings were selected and would be presented in this exhibit with relevant details.Results: Some of the cases that will be discussed include ocular surface squamous neoplasia, adenoid cystic carcinoma, ocular melanoma, retinoblastoma, hematologic malignancies affecting the eye, mucormycosis, IgG4 disease.Conclusions: In this exhibit, we present our experience with the use of F-18 FDG PET/CT imaging in various ophthalmologic lesions through various illustrations. This will help the readers understand the spectrum of presentation of these diseases.
