Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate correlation between left ventricular mechanical contraction synchrony and left ventricular systolic function by gated myocardial perfusion imaging(GMPI)using Cadmium-Zine-Telluride (CZT)sinsle photon emission computed tomography(SPECT).
Methods: Three hundred and forty three consecutive patients were recruited from January to August 2019 in Shan xi Cardiovascular hospital.232 male,111 female,mean age( 60.08±12.88)years old.All patients underwent CZT SPECT GMPI. The software named Emory CardiacToolbox was used to process the data,and the systolic synchrony parameters and left ventricular systolic function parameters were acquired,including Peak phase,Phase SD,Histogram bandwidth,Histogram skewness,Histogram kurtosis ,and EDV,ESV,LVEF.All patients were divided into 4 groups based on left ejection fraction:including the severely reduced group,(127cases,EF﹤35%),the moderately reduced group ( 47cases, 35% ≤ EF﹤45%),the mildly reduced group ( 25cases, 45% ≤EF﹤50%) ,the normal group ( 144cases, EF≥50%).The difference of Peak phase,Phase SD,Histogram bandwidth,Histogram skewness,Histogram kurtosis between the four groups were compared. and the control group separately were compared.The difference among the three myocardial ischemia groups were studied.The relationship among EDV,ESV ,LVEF and PP,PSD,PHB ,HS,HK were analyzed.
Results: PP,PSD,PHB,HS,HK had statistically significant between the four groups. There was no significant difference between the 2 group and the 3 group ,but there was statistically significant difference among other groups. PSD and PHB showed good negatively correlation for LVEF , but HS,HK showed positive correlation for LVEF; PSD,PHB and EDV,ESV were positively correlated , but HS,HK were negatively correlated with EDV and ESV, PP had poor correlation with ESV and had no correlation with EDV.
Conclusions: CZTSPECT GMPI provides the left ventricular systolic synchrony parameters parameters that correlated well with the left ventricular systolic function, and the worse systolic function, the worse systolic synchrony, the the systolic synchrony parameters has its value of clinical application in the prediction of the left ventricular systolic function.
