For the most part, an Institutional Online Subscription authorizes use at a localized site. A "site" is an organizational unit, and may be academic or nonacademic. For organizations located in more than one city, each city office is considered a different site. For organizations within the same city that are administered independently, each office is considered a different site.

For example, each campus in the State University of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.

Individuals who are not SNM members may subscribe at the Individual (Non-Member) level, may apply for SNM membership, or may want to consider suggesting an Institutional subscription to their librarian.

Ordering Procedure

Subscribing to SNM Journals Online is a two-step process:

First, you must follow your usual "new serial" ordering procedures to subscribe to the print version of JNM, ISSN 0161-5505, or JNMT, ISSN 0091-4916, which also provides access to the online version. Payment should be made to your subscription agent or directly to SNM.

Second, once your serial vendor or SNM has received payment, you will receive a letter with instructions for obtaining access to the World Wide Web edition; the letter will direct you to an online form. You will be asked to provide the following information necessary to activate your subscription to JNM or JNMT Online:

Contact name, title, phone, fax, and email

Customer number (included with the letter)

We will send you the address of this web form and instructions for filling it out after we verify payment. Your institution will not have access to the full JNM or JNMT Online until you complete this second step.

If you are having access problems...

Access to SNM Journals Online is now restricted to print subscribers of the journal. A letter has been sent out instructing subscribers on how to sign on to the online journals. If you are having difficulties in accessing the material, please read the following instructions:

If you are subscribing to JNM or JNMT directly through SNM (not using a book agent), please give us a call at 703-708-9000 or fax us at 703-708-9015 and we will try to assist you. Make sure that the subscription ID number we provided you with is available.

If you are subscribing to JNM or JNMT through a book agent and the issues are being shipped directly to your address, please give us a call at 703-708-9000 or fax us at 703-708-9015 and we will try to assist you. Make sure that the subscriber ID number we provided you with is available.

If you are subscribing to JNM or JNMT through a book agent and the issues are being sent to the agent at their collection place, please call your book agent and ask them to provide us with documentation that identifies you as a subscriber. Without documentation, you will not be identified as a paid subscriber and we will not be able to help you from our office.
