A pilot study has shown the feasibility of rendering PET/CT images into 3-dimensional volumes, including "fly-through" virtual bronchoscopy and colonoscopy images and "fly-around" external views.The above PET/CT images of a patient with colorectal cancer reveal the lesion, and with 3-dimensional rendering (right) the lesion is seen in its entirety.
