Necrosis ( ${blacktriangleup}$ ) shows poor perfusion (missing peak) and increasing FMISO accumulation, presumably reflecting hypoxia. Viable tumor ( ${diamondsuit}$ ) shows high perfusion and subsequent rapid washout, reflecting good oxygenation. Tumor tissue surrounding necrosis ( ${blacksquare}$ ) shows impaired perfusion (low peak) followed by accumulation, reflecting hypoxia.
