Consecutive coronal planes of non–attenuation-corrected 18F-FDG PET (upper row) and 11C-CHOL PET (lower row) images. 18F-FDG images show intense uptake in primary tumor, hilar lymph node metastasis, and mediastinal lymph node metastases. 11C-CHOL-PET images show mild tracer uptake in primary tumor and hilar metastasis; the mediastinal lymph node metastases are missed. Note high uptake of 11C-CHOL-PET in liver and kidneys, hampering interpretation of upper abdomen.
