ABSTRACT
131I-labeled stigmasterol administered to animals selectively localizes in the adrenal glands. Although the degree of localization is insufficient for actual clinical scanning, in two out of three patients with adrenal tumor there was good correlation between the preoperative scans and subsequent surgical findings. The search for a practical technique to scan the adrenal glands is being continued.
