Energy Absorption in Cylinders Containing a Uniformly Distributed Source1

ABSTRACT

Analysis and partial integration of the absorption fraction for cylinders containing a uniformly distributed radioactive isotope are presented. The absorption fractions for a range of cylinder sizes, shapes and absorption coefficients are tabulated.
