Persistent Neutrophilic Leukocytosis Associated with Idiopathic Functional Asplenia

ABSTRACT

Persistent neutrophilic leukocytosis in association with idiopathic functional asplenia is described in a 40-year-old woman. It is suggested that a search for evidence of functional asplenia be undertaken in patients with persistent, unexplained leukocytosis.
