ABSTRACT

A T3 test based on the use of microspheres of BSA as reversible adsorbent was set up. The standardization of the method is discussed and the optimized procedure described. The results of clinical tests on 241 sera related to different physiopathologic states are presented, together with the correlation obtained with other diagnostic tests of thyroid function. The method appears perfectly suitable as far as precision, discriminating ability, operative simplicity, and speed are concerned.
