Thyroid Nodule Scans Made with Pertechnetate and Iodine May Give Inconsistent Results

ABSTRACT

A trabecular adenoma which trapped pertechnetate but did not hold radioiodine for 24 hr is described. It is concluded that the two techniques do not always give equivalent results.
