ABSTRACT
Placenta scanning using 113mIn-transferrin complex was performed in 16 patients. All but one of the scans were correctly interpreted. The radiation dose to the mother is minimal and to the fetus even less, both well below acceptable limits. The method is safe, accurate, painless and relatively simple to perform.
