ABSTRACT
Indium-113m is a promising, inexpensive, new broad-spectrum scintiscanning agent. The chemical nature of the indium as obtained from the tin-indium generator has been identified and found to be. This information is an essential prerequisite to meaningful chemical manipulation of the eluate in preparation of organ specific radiopharmaceuticals. Based upon this data, simplified methods using prepared vials are being developed for brain, kidney, lung, liver, spleen, bone marrow and blood-pool scanning agents.
