ABSTRACT
By using a simple method of quantitating scintiscans of 99mTcO4 in the thyroid, we have shown that this ion is not significantly bound up to 3 hr after administration. The intrathyroidal turnover rate of pertechnetate was found to be increased by an average factor of 1.43 during perchlorate discharge.
