ABSTRACT
We have studied the effects of counting statistics and high-voltage drifts on the gamma-counting of 125I and 75Se in the same sample. We conclude that a brass filter is usually preferable to pulse-height analysis for measuring 125I in the presence of 75Se (or, by extension, in the presence of 131I or 51Cr).
