PET/CT revealed that increased 18F-FDG accumulation in neck was localized in the intrinsic laryngeal muscles. Finding was result of compensatory laryngeal muscle activation caused by contralateral recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy from direct nerve invasion by lung cancer.
